Gateway is painting of the upper reaches of the Gwaun Valley, the distant, broken gate seems to offer an escape to the brighter dawn from the cold dark waters of the river.
These images are digital photos of photocopies of the Originals, naturally they are a bit removed from the original's colour balance and cast etc.
Anticipation of Night was named such because, at the time, we were waiting for darkness to fall, so that the impressive Newport Regatta fireworks display could begin. The boats here at anchor in Newport Bay also seem to be watching the sunset in equal anticipation of the night. |

| This Picture of the Old Corn mill is taken from upstream of the Bridge on the Eastern Cleddau which feeds the leat (the mill stream) about a half mile further up, the Mill is both a popular place of interest and a museum. | Edwards Pill in Langwm village is a magical spot at high water and I have painted this little scene several times making variations in the time of day to capture the various moods of the place. |

| The white building is the Kings Arms, a favourite stop-off for the Trawlermen of Milford Haven prior to setting out to sea! The large white area marks the left hand side of the the harbour wall that is the entrance to the Lock Pits, these in turn lead into Milford Harbour itself. This area only looked this way some 40 or 50 years ago before the oil companies built their refineries and jettys |
The Woods at Canaston Bridge are spectacular in the spring, the bluebells forming a carpet across the woodland floor. |
