Mammals Amphibians and Reptiles I have lumped these three together because they are a fairly small group and also not too easy to get images of.

First record is a tiny Sloworm I found in my own Garden which backs onto the main site, these delightful Reptiles are often found under old sheets of corrugated iron that have been left to lie flat in the open for a while, this one is the smallest I have ever seen, you can see from the moss and blades of grass how small it actually is. In lenght it was about 4", most of the adults I get to see are about a foot long or more.

| A tiny Common Newt which I found under a stone in the Garden, oddly enough these little amphibians are found as much on dry land as in water. | ![]() |
