| Slugs and Snails

I don't as yet have a textbook covering the Identification of Slugs and Snails, but am relying on internet resources, for the commoner species this should not really pose a great problem, but if you spot an error please do let me know and I will correct it. By their rather predatory nature, at least as far as garden plants are concerned, this group are not exactly the most popular, yet like the intricate shell markings of snails do have an appeal all their own, Slugs though I find difficult to find anything appealing about. |

| This first image is (I think) of a Brown Lipped Snail, the name refers to the shell edge where the body emerges. Quite common in most gardens. | ![]() |
